Has anybody else noticed how whenever someone says “Black is Beautiful”, it’s referring only to Black women? Also, look at the quality of the women here: Leslie Jones, Uzo Aduba, Gabourey “Gabby” Sidibe, Tarana Burke AKA KRS-Too, and another lady who I don’t recognize; if it’s not these monstrosities, they recycle old images of Nia Long (when she was younger), Gabrielle Union, Jada Pinkett Smith, Robin Givens, Halle Berry, etc. The only young Black women you may see now being promoted as the faces of Black beauty are brauds who look like Lizzo; nowhere do you find them promoting White women (or any other race of women) with bodies that look like a busted can of biscuits and faces that only their mothers could love. If this promotion of unsexy Black women weren’t bad enough, they also have them playing the most masculine, violent characters on television and in movies; how can they be mad at White women being seen as the standard of beauty when this is their public image?

What you’ve stated is correct, many of the black women labelled as attractive in that list most certainly aren’t. Since when was Oprah attractive? Additionally, some of the women listed are mixed.
