In the few posts I did see on Threads, there were men who pretty much said the same thing that Snopes said about what the 62 million figure actually represented, but that didn’t stop women from calling those men “rape apologists”, claiming that women will decide what men they deem are safe, that it’s time for women to abandon dating apps, etc.; this is why I refrained from responding. The Wall of Silence was created for moments like this; the solution isn’t found in having needless debates, negotiations around the table, or unproductive arguments. The solution is silence!
